Today, I’m very ecstatic to share with you a post that I was probably never thought would happen. If you have been following me on Instagram (@fashion.caption), you most likely know that I follow many photographers, fashion bloggers, friends of mine, and of course, the Metropolitan Museum of Art. However, one of the people that I have been dying to meet since I have begun following has been Kristina Bazan.
As many of you might know, Kristina Bazan is an owner of Kayture, a fashion blog that’s been around for four years. Kristina’s style has evolved as well as her pictures, and I must tell you, the quality of her content is wonderful. She is a very positive, witty, and clever individual, who you would like to receive your inspiration and optimism from. To me, she seemed to be such a dream to meet, and when I finally did, I was astonished.
Accompanied by another Kayture contributor, Fiona Zanetti, both stunning girls moved closer and closer to the middle of the Lincoln Center, which is where Fashion Week occurs, while slowly being surrounded by readers and followers just like me. As I’ve noticed them, I speed-walked to them, smiled, told Kristina how much she inspires me (because she truly does), and took pictures.
One of the first things I noticed about her was her makeup. Her eyeshadow, carefully blended among the vast variety of neutral tones and blended with a bold, dark eyeliner, has made her blue eyes stand out more than ever. Personally, the first thing that I always notice when I meet people is their eye color. “Eyes are the windows to your soul” is something that I always keep in mind when I meet somebody.
After I looked closely at her face, I was lost in the color of her hair, her outfit, and just her overall attitude toward the people she was meeting during her meet & greet. To my own surprise, there were not many readers who came out to meet her-most likely due to the insane cold in New York, yet, it was better than having a large group of people because the meet & greet was more personal and warm. To be honest, if you have seen her blog or have seen her Instagram and you’re thinking of meeting her, you really should because she gave out so much positive energy that it transformed my day into a much brighter, confident journey. Never be afraid to chase your dreams, or worry about them coming true no matter how crazy they might be because trust me, in the end, it’s worth it no matter what it might be (just keep your intentions positive, of course).
