Lookbook

Ms. Ostapenko

Hello my fellow readers, DSC_0950As fall has finally stepped it’s foot into the doors of New York, the city has become covered in glorious colors. It feels like a fairy tale to browse the average neighborhood and city streets, and seeing the leaves of the trees in the most beautiful shades of red, burgundy, yellow, green, and orange. Just by walking down the street, you will feel instantly happier and will want to grab a cup of hot coffee or tea to really get into the fall spirits.

As I’ve said in the previous post, school is challenging and a bit difficult. But what can you do besides overcoming your challenges and go against the flow instead of following it? I’m personally attempting to get into the fighting spirits in order to accomplish all my goals regarding school, work, and of course, the blog.

Today’s post is a little different in various ways: my hair is curly, which I wouldn’t usually go for, the setting is much simpler then certain previous settings I’ve done, and this particular outfit express what I really love and wear: blouses, pleated cardigans, and pencil skirts.
In my opinion, this look expresses my true style and true persona because I love to see myself wear much classier and defined pieces. Yet, don’t get me wrong because I also love the absolutely crazy side of me that loves to wear faux-fur coats and vests, glitter-covered shoes, and of course, any type of crazy shoes (unfortunately, all of the ones I like are not on my current budget). Therefore, I decided to name this post “Ms.Ostapenko” because my last name is just as original as my persona is. Embrace your weirdness, ladies and gentlemen!
As for this look specifically, I wanted to wear it on a cold day, however, because I wanted to wear just the tweed jacket, I would have had a cold right about now. Therefore, I decided to style my look by layering my new and already-favorite coat on top, and wearing knee-high boots instead of my Aldo booties that I love so dearly.

Keeping myself warm while looking put-together are finally the two words I’m capable of fitting into a post that describes cold weather.
