Hello my fellow readers,
It’s been a long time since I have written a more personal post, rather than a strictly fashion related one, however, right now is the perfect time to share with you some of the bits and pieces out of my life.
If you have been following the blog or my Instagram for a while, you might have noticed that my personal life has drastically changed. I graduated high school and started college, which I have been working diligently to achieve for the past four years. Besides, it’s not just a typical college or a liberal arts school-it’s a fashion school with business-related majors. I am utterly excited about this step of my life, and I couldn’t have been more excited to share with you of what’s to come in the future. In addition, starting college isn’t the only thing that has changed; I spent the entire summer working my little heart out, so it was definitely a summer of labor, if it may be called anything, but it was great and productive. I love working, especially if it’s a job I truly enjoy, so my summer was busy, but felt great for the mind and soul.
Yet, high school graduation, college admittance, and work were not the only things that have happened in the course of a month that I was absent from the blog. When I started this blog in 2013, I was barely aware of what photography and the blogging world are. I was stepping into the virtual world blindfolded yet, it was a leap of faith in my life that I have never regretted. Since that moment, I have been researching and studying everything about the world of photos, blogs, writing, and fashion, in order to improve myself and my blog. I always wanted to reach higher, develop new strategies, create and realize new ideas, and they are all finally coming together.
The smallest step that I’ve taken thus far was redesigning my blog’s layout and my business cards. The image of the blog-on and off line-is equally important, therefore, Fashion Caption received necessary upgrades in those departments. The next step was to customize a logo that would represent what Fashion Caption-especially after its third anniversary-is. After the step was taken and the website was officially done, it was time to focus on the most interesting yet the most expensive part of it all: the equipment. Camera equipment is a necessary thing for any photographer, photojournalist, or blogger, so investing into a camera was just as important as investing in the entire look of the blog. After all, the image quality is one of the first things that comes to a visitor’s mind when he or she visits a website. Fortunately, the camera mission was accomplished, and all in all, Fashion Caption has officially become Fashion Caption 2.0
Besides improving the blog, I have also been enjoying the last tad bits of the summer heat. New York has cooled off rapidly this year, however, we still manage to get summer warmth in certain days from time to time. To wave “goodbye” to summer, I have put together transitional outfits, and the last of the summer outfit is featured in this post.
An A-line denim skirt with a white oversized shirt gives off a very relaxed, last-days-of-summer feeling, while still feeling like a transitional piece for those very warm early days of fall. The heels, which are clear and black, add a little interest to the entire look and attract attention while keeping it all ladylike. The LBB, or the Little Black Backpack, has become my summer staple because it is small enough to carry around, but it fits all of my carry-on belongings. It has an edgy look to it because of the non-traditional chain straps and a quilted texture. Yet, this outfit serves you the last, but definitely not least, summer look of 2016. Cheers to fall!
