Downtown Girl

Downtown Girl

Hello my fellow readers,

Happy New Year!

2018…It feels a bit strange to be writing in 2018 because when I was a child, I assumed that this year is so far away, meanwhile it arrived in a blink of an eye. It is crazy to think that 2008 was 10 years ago, and that I will be turning 20 years old this year.

Although I am being a bit dramatic, it can’t be denied that time is moving way too quickly, and we are obligated to take advantage of every second of it.

As the New Year has begun, I decided to, once again, switch up my look and build a list of New Years Resolutions that I am hoping to accomplish. However, for me, every big change starts with changing my hair. Indeed, this time around it is blonder and shorter, which is ironic since I have always said I won’t ever go blonde. Two more dye jobs, and I will be close to platinum.

On another note, some people like to change up their surroundings and the things they have control over, meanwhile others are satisfied and tend to keep things the way they were and currently are. Yet, no matter who you are and how you like to start off the year, it is important to remember that if there’s something you would like to accomplish or change in yourself, in your look, or in your professional or personal life, you should listen to your heart and follow through with your head.

As someone who is inspired by the city she lives in, I decided to create a “Downtown Girl” look, and put a bit more of a colorful spin on it. Sure, the “Downtown Girl” is known for an arrangement of dark colors in her clothes, however, it doesn’t hurt to splash some color into the well-known dark look.

Therefore, here is a spin-off to a familiar concept, because it is 2018, and it is time to change things up, baby!
